Falcons lose to Jets, but Marcus Mariota and Desmond Ridder shine for Atlanta

In Week 2's last preseason game, the New York Jets defeated the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 24-16.

Marcus Mariota and Desmond Ridder both had effective first halves as Atlanta built a 16-0 lead. Mariota completed 6 of 10 passes for 132 yards and a score (10 of 13 for 143 yards),

However, New York fought back for a late second-quarter field goal drive, and after the deep backups entered the game, they produced a comeback after the break.

Lawrence Cager, a wide receiver for the Jets, scored scores on a 34-yard crossing route.

and edge defender Bradlee Anae, who recovered a fumble and ran it in to give New York the lead permanently. Near the end of the fourth quarter, Atlanta had one more opportunity to equal the score.
