How to Check Names in the PMAY List?
Applicants of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) can check their name on the PMAY list. The PMAY list for 2021-22 has been publish on the official website, which contains the names of applicants chosen under FY2021-22.
After fulfilling eligibility criteria and applying successfully, PMAY candidates get a registration ID to check their name and other important details. As this housing scheme is segregate into two parts, namely ‘PMAY Urban’ and ‘PMAY Gramin’, the name-checking process also differs.

Steps to check name on PMAY Urban list
Applicants can check name in the PMAY list 2021-22 for urban areas in two ways,
- With Aadhaar number
- Without Aadhaar number

Checking name in PMAY Urban list with Aadhaar number
Step-1- Visit the official website of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Step-2- Move to the ‘Search Beneficiary’ option on the top panel and click on the ‘Search by Name’ option from the drop-down list.
Step-3- Upon clicking the link, individuals will be redirect to a new webpage. Enter the Aadhaar number.
Step-4- Click on ‘Submit’.
If the Aadhaar details of applicants are available in the database, the name and other details will appear on the screen.
Checking name in PMAY Urban list without Aadhaar number
If applicants do not have their Aadhaar details, they can still check their name in the PMAY list with their personal details, assessment ID or mobile number.
Step-1: Visit the official website of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban.
Step-2: Click ‘Citizen Assessment’ from the menu bar and click ‘Track Your Application Status.’
Step-3: Individuals will be redirect to a new page. Enter personal information or assessment ID to generate the PMAY status, i.e. application status.
- Steps to check name in the PMAY Gramin list
To check names under the PMAY Gramin list, individuals can opt for two ways. These are,
With registration number
Individuals who have apply for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme for Gramin, which was previously known as Indira Gandhi Awas Yojana, may receive a registration number if their application get select. Thus, with this registration number, they can check their name in the following ways.
Step-1- Visit the official website of PMAY Gramin.
Step-2- Enter the registration number.
Step-3- Click on ‘Submit’.
Step-4- If the given registration number is part of the PMAY list 2021-22, the applicant’s name and details will be shown on screen.
Without registration number
Individuals who do not have the registration number can search by following the steps discussed below,
Step-1- Visit the official website of PMAY Gramin.
Step-2- Click on the second option named ‘Advanced search’.
Step-3- Enter essential information like name, BPL number along with A/C number, father or husband name, sanction order.
Step-4- After providing these details, click on the ‘Search option. If applicants’ names get select, they can see their names on the PMAY list and check other details. However, applicants must note that to appear on the PMAY list FY2021-22, applicants must fulfil the eligibility criteria. These are discuss below,
PMAY eligibility
- Individuals must have no pucca house in their name or any other family member’s name in any part of the country.
- A Beneficiary family must not have availed any state or central housing finance assistance.
- A Beneficiary family must not have taken PMAY subsidy from any of Primary Lending Institutions (PLIs).
- A married couple can apply jointly or separately will be grant one subsidy.
- Individuals belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Class (OBC).
Applicants whose names appear on the list can apply for home loan and get an interest subsidy on housing finance. There are several reputed HFCs that are register as Primary Lending Institution with the Central Nodal Agency under the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme hence can offer home loans at a subsidize rate and other benefits.
These HFCs extend pre-approved offers to simply loan availing processes. These offers are also available on other financial products, such as loan against property, home loans, etc. Individuals can check their pre-approved offers by entering name and contact details.
